Here’s your downloadable checklist for setting up shop on Etsy.

• [ ] Decide your shop name 🏪
• [ ] Decide on your product 🧸
• [ ] Register on HMRC as self employed using the Earnr app (even if this is just a side hustle you need to register self-employed income too) ✍️
• [ ] Research product pricing (look at competitors, established brands and take into account Etsy fees and shipping costs) find the sweet spot to undercut competition but cover costs and make profit 💷
• [ ] Sign into Etsy. Click ‘Sell on Etsy’, choose your shop preferences, name and billing info 🧾
• [ ] Take high quality photos of your product from different, favourable angles that really sell it📸
• [ ] Research the keywords you want to use for the product name and description. Thinking about what people are searching, and what’s going to really sell the product 💻
• [ ] Fill in your ‘about’ information and store policies, including shipping and returns ℹ️
• [ ] List your products: include 13 tags, categories, attributes, and choose the best picture for the thumbnail, use a minimum of 5 pictures 📜
• [ ] Set up a public bio and photo so people can see who you are 👀
• [ ] Get someone you know to review your shop and give you feedback 📣
• [ ] Use Etsy’s social media connection to take people directly from social media to your shop 🛣️
